# Fusion Plugin v0.9.0

This is the first **beta** release of the [Carvera Community Fusion 360 plugin](https://github.com/Carvera-Community/docs/blob/main/updates/fusion/plugin.md). This plugin helps users of personal edition Fusion 360 generate G-code files with features similar to those found in the Professional Fusion 360 edition. It adds features such as gcode file consolidation, automatic 4th axis rotation for indexed milling, and rapid non-cutting movement.

## Highlights

* **Indexed 4th axis support**:
  * Automatic rotation of **A-axis between setups**
  * optional **Y-axis retract** before rotation (in addition to Z retract)
  * configurable **Y retract position using G53/MCS**
* **Rapid movement**: converts normally slow non-cutting moves, to G0 rapids based on a number of configurable options such as minimum-distance strategy.
* **Flexible output organization**:
  * grouping: **single file**, **per setup**, **per setup + tool**, or **per operation**
  * options for numeric-only program names, sequence numbering, flattening folders, overwrite protection, and clearing the output folder before generating
* **Utilities**: batch setup renaming (supports regex), and per-document settings with saved defaults.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://carvera-community.gitbook.io/docs/dev/updates/fusion-plugin-0.9.0.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
